- Industrial Ecology of Agriculturally-Based Bioindustries
This is a system modeling and analysis course focused on interconnecting discrete physical, chemical and biological processes to create novel industrial ecologies. An input-output modeling methodology is employed to develop and manipulate the structure of complex agricultural-based bio-industries and to generate the material, energy and monetary flows.

This seminar series provides an opportunity for upper level undergraduates, graduate students and faculty to interact with the shakers and movers from industry, state and federal government agencies, and nongovernmental organizations who are active in creating sustainable bio-industries. This is an invaluable platform for providing students with a broader vision of how their research and development activities link to the evolution of a global bioeconomy.
